Glenmuir wins Clarendon Elite Cup

The Glenmuir High School football team copped the trophy at the inaugural Clarendon Elite Cup on Sunday.

They faced Vere Technical High School where they triumphed 2-0, thanks to successful targets by Oneil Headley and Orane Watson.

Anthony Baker, conceptualiser of the competition, was pleased with its execution as well as the turn out from spectators across the parish.

“The inaugural staging of the Clarendon Elite Cup achieved an unexpected and resounding level of success, far exceeding initial projections. The tournament was exceptionally well-organised, supported by strong community involvement and an impressive turnout of spectators—significantly more than anticipated,” Baker told the Jamaica Observer.

Earlier on Sunday, Denbigh High School took the third place spot as they defeated Munro College 2-1.
